Asian Cultural Council The Asian Cultural Council is a foundation supporting cultural exchange in the visual and performing arts between the United States and the countries of Asia, primarily through a program of fellowships: (1) ACC Humanities Fellowship Program: supports scholars undertaking academic research in arts-related fields in Asia. (2) ACC Asian Art and Religion Fellowship Program: supports scholars, specialists, and artists undertaking research in Asia that focuses on the relationship between Asian artistic and religious traditions. (3) ACC Japan-United States Arts Program: supports artists, scholars and specialists pursuing research, observation, and creative work in Japan pertaining to the study and understanding of Japanese arts and culture. (4) ACC Residency Program in Asia: supported through a gift from the Freeman Foundation, will provide grant assistance to American artists, scholars and specialists undertaking research, teaching, or creative residencies at cultural and educational institutions in Asia. Eligibility: The majority of grants support individuals from Asia traveling to the US. However, grants to US citizens or permanent residents are available.
