American Foundation for the Blind - Gladys C. Anderson Memorial Scholarship

Gladys C. Anderson Memorial Scholarship: for an undergraduate or 
     graduate student who is a legally blind woman, studying       
     religious or classical music. 

Eligibility: Must be a US citizen. Must provide evidence of legal         
     blindness. Applicant must submit a sample performance tape of    
     voice or instrumental selection (not to exceed 30 minutes).

Amount: $1000.
						
Application materials: Evidence of blindness, official transcript(s),
    proof of acceptance at a college or university, three letters
    of recommendation, a performance tape of a voice or instrumental
    selection, not to exceed 30 minutes, and a typewritten statement 
    of no more than three double-spaced pages describing educational
    and personal goals, work experience, extra-curricular activities, 
    and how scholarship monies will be used.

Deadline: Applications with supporting materials must be submitted
    in print and be postmarked by April 30 (annually).
