American Research Institute in Turkey--2001-2002 Fellowship Program Fellowships for research and study in Turkey: for advanced graduate students and scholars engaged in research in any field of the humanities or social sciences involving Turkey. Eligibility: Applicants must have fulfilled all preliminary requirements for the doctorate except the dissertation before accepting a fellowship. All applicants are expected to be members in good standing of educational institutions in the United States or Canada. Turkish law requires all foreign scholars, prior to entering the country to, obtain formal permission for any research to carried be out in Turkey. ARIT fellowship applicants are responsible for obtaining research permission. Forms should be obtained from the Turkish Embassy, 1714 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036.
