American Psychological Association--Predoctoral Minority Fellowships Predoctoral Minority Fellowship Program in Neuroscience: The program provides predoctoral training in neuroscience for minority students enrolled in a full-time, APA-approved academic program leading to a doctoral degree by the time a Fellowship is awarded. Research areas as developmental, physiological, experimental, social, industrial/organizational, quantitative and educational psychology are encouraged to apply. Students specializing in clinical and counseling psychology are ineligible to apply. Students of any other speciality will be considered if they plan a career in research. Eligibility: Applicants must be US citizen or permanent residents, who are members of an ethnic minority group, including but not limited to African Americans, Alaskan Natives, American Indians, Asian Americans, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders and/or demonstrate a commitment to careers in psychology related to ethnic minority mental health. Stipend: The award includes a monthly, travel to prospective university training sites and to attend the Society for Neuroscience annual meeting and summer training.
