American Political Science Association--Congressional Fellowships Program The program consists of a three-week orientation period, numerous conferences with members of Congress during the year, and nine months of full-time work as an aide to members of the House and Senate, or on the staff of a Congressional Committee. Eligibility: Applicants must have completed the Ph.D in political science, within the last 15 years, or near completion of a Ph.D. in political science. Also, journalists with a bachelor's degree and two to ten years of professional experience in newspaper, radio, magazine, or television reporting are eligible to apply. Period: Ten months, beginning November 1998. Stipend: Stipend of $30,000 and an additional travel allowance. Deadline: December 1 (annually). Contact: Jeffrey R.
