American Antiquarian Society--NEH Fellowships Fellowships are for subject areas in which the American Antiquarian Society has especially strong collections. Recipients are expected to be in regular residence at the Society library. Fellows must devote full-time to their study and may not accept teaching assignments or undertake any other major activities during the tenure of the award. They may not hold other major fellowships, except sabbaticals or grants from their own institutions. Eligibility: The Society's NEH Fellowships may not be awarded to degree candidates or for study leading to advanced degrees. Open to foreign nationals, only if they have been residents in the United States for at least three years immediately preceding the date of their award. Period: Four to twelve months of residency at the Society. Stipend: Up to $30,000 Deadline: January 15 (annually) Contact: John B.
