American Indian Graduate Center Fellowship Program The fellowship awards were established to assist American Indian college graduates who wanted to continue their education at the master's, doctorate and professional degree level and needed financial support. Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled members of a federally- recognized American Indian tribe or Alaskan Native group in the United States, or possess 1/4 degree (federally recognized) Indian blood. Also, applicants must be (or will be) pursuing a masters or doctorate degree as a full-time graduate student at an accredited graduate school in the United States. Lastly, all applicants must apply for campus-based aid through the federal financial aid process at the university financial aid office. Awards: Fellowship awards are based on a percentage of your unmet financial need. New students receive a maximum of $4,000 and continuing students a maximum of $6,000. (The maximum award amounts were based on a student having an unmet need of $10,000 or more). Application Fee: There shall be a one time, non-refundable, application fee of $15.00 that must be submitted. The application fees will be used to provide additional fellowships. Money orders only.
