ACLS--Postdoctoral Research in East European Studies

Postdoctoral Fellowships: for full-time research and training in the
     social sciences and humanities relating to Albania, Bulgaria, the
     Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland,
     Romania, Slovakia, and the successor states of the former 
     Yugoslavia. Proposals dealing with Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, and
     the former Yugoslavia are particularly encouraged.

Eligibility: Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. 
     Candidates must hold the PhD as of the application deadline date or
     its equivalent in professional experience and publications.

Period: Six to twelve months, between July 1, 2001 and September 1, 2002.
									
Stipend: A maximum of $25,000, intended as salary replacement to provide
     time for research.

Deadline: November 1, 2000.
