American Cancer Society--Postdoctoral Fellowships The program is designed to enable new investigators (with less than five years of prior postdoctoral training) to obtain sufficient training to begin a career as an independent investigator in cancer research. Eligibility: Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. and must hold doctoral degrees in the appropriate disciplines. Award: The fellowships may be made for a period of one, two, or three years. The annual stipend is $28,000, $30,000 and $32,000 for the first, second and third years, respectively. Funds for travel may be requested to defray cost of fellow's travel from the present institution to the training institution, and an institutional allowance of up to $2,000 per year may be requested.
