American Association of University Women--Postdoctoral Research Fellowships
							
One-year Postdoctoral/Research Leave Fellowships: are for women who
have earned a doctorate by November 15, 1998. Ten fellowships are
available: three each in the arts and humanities, social sciences,
and natural sciences, and one designated specifically for a woman
of color. 

Eligibility: Must be US citizen or permanent resident. There are no
   restrictions on place, field of the project or age of the
   applicant. Applicants are evaluated on their scholarly excellence,
   teaching experience, and active commitment to helping women and
   girls through service in the community, profession, or field of
   research.

Stipend: The fellowship stipend is $27,000 for the fellowship year
    July 1, 1999 - June 30, 2000. 

Deadline: Application postmark deadline is November 15, 1998.
