American Association of University Women--International Fellowships International fellowships for full-time graduate or postgraduate study or research in the United States are awarded to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree before December 31, 2000. Applicants will be judged on the following: * outstanding academic ability; * professional potential; and * importance of studies to women and girls in their country of origin. Preference will be given to women who show prior commitment to the advancement of women and girls through civic, community, or professional work. Six of the 46 fellowships available are jointly sponsored by the International Federation of University Women (IFUW) and are reserved for women who are members of IFUW affiliate organizations. Recipients of these AAUW Educational Foundation/IFUW fellowships may study in any country other than their own. Period: Fellowship year July 1, 2001 - June 30, 2002.
