AAUW-Selected Professions Fellowships Selected Professions Fellowships are awarded in designated fields where women's participation has been low and to engineering doctoral candidates who are in the final stages of writing their dissertation. Special consideration is given to applicants who show professional promise in innovative or neglected areas of research and/or practice in public interest concerns. 1) Science and technology fellowships are awarded to women in their final year of a master's degree (including one-year programs) in architecture, computer/information science, engineering, and mathematics/statistics. 2) Focus professions group fellowships are awarded to women from historically underrepresented ethnic minorities in business administration (M.B.A., two-year, and executive programs only), law (J.D.), and medicine (M.D. or D.O.). Applicants must enter their final year of study in September 2000. Eligibility: Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents. Fellowship year: July 1, 2001 - June 30, 2002. Stipend: Between Between $5,000-$12,000 for the Fellowship Awards.
