African American Institute  

Award: for African master's or doctoral students who wish to study in
     the U.S., in all areas of study, but especially agriculture,
     economics, public and business administration, engineering,
     health, and education. 

Eligibility: applicants are selected by their respective countries 
     and must be in residence in a Sub-Saharan country at the time 
     of application.

Deadline: varies by country
