Ikko Tanaka, one of Japan’s best-known graphic designers, created this poster for the "Art de Vivre" campaign, named for a French expression meaning "the art of living." The image—which joins the simplified features of a traditional Noh mask with a rainbow-hued pictograph of a human face—announced Shiseido’s message for the year 2000 in Japan.
