Through 1986, Lutens played variations on the circle in a series of posters and ads designed to boost Shiseido’s international image. His poster for the Moisture Mist collection—which was launched overseas in 1978—updates the traditional Japanese colors of red, black, and white. As in the other posters he designed, this one bears Lutens’s signature at the lower right.
