1958 By the mid-1950s, Erró began assembling an archive of newspaper and magazine clippings, posters, leaflets, postcards, reproductions, and comics. Settling in Paris in 1958, he gained entrée to the Surrealist circle through his friend Jean-Jacques Lebel and his father, Robert Lebel. He soon began a new series of collages, drawing upon his ever-expanding files and integrating Surrealist notions about the uncanny with Dada strategies. |
