Nalini Malani received a diploma in the Fine Arts from J.J. University,
Bombay, in 1969. She has worked in France and the U.S. on residential
fellowships, and is represented in national museum collections. Her water-
color books and oil paintings refer to Western as well as Indian art history,
and her humanist paintings reflect her concern for "a place for people."
Born in Karachi, Pakistan (then India), in 1946, she lives and works
in Bombay.
