Welcome from the Chairperson
Dear Colleagues: On behalf of your University Faculty Senators, I am pleased to welcome you to the Faculty Senators Council’s home page. The Council is the vehicle for faculty participation in New York University governance. Each School in the University elects Faculty Senators who serve on the FSC, its committees, and on the University Senate and its committees. The University Senate is composed of representatives from the students, administrators, the deans, the University Leadership Team, as well as faculty. Together we act upon “educational matters and regulations of the academic community that affect more than one school.” In addition, we are concerned with the life of the faculty at the University and seek to improve its professional and personal satisfactions. You will find materials on this site that describe our structure and activities. Copies of meeting minutes, documents, and resolutions are included.
