CHINESE LANGUAGE LECTURER
Department of East Asian Studies

The Department of East Asian Studies at New York University invites applications for a full-time, nontenure
track appointment as a Chinese Language Lecturer to begin September 1, 2008, pending budgetary
and administrative approval. The program is seeking an individual who has excellent command of both
English and Chinese, and who, at a minimum, holds an M.A. degree. A candidate with a doctoral degree, or
committed to earning it, will be preferred. It is also preferable that the candidates should have considerable
experience teaching Chinese at a college level. Course load: 3 language classes per semester.
