Operational Risk Analysis and Compliance

Operational Risk Analysis and Compliance (ORAC) plays a key role in ensuring excellence in all of the University’s operational activities. ORAC is responsible for tracking and maintaining operational compliance with the University's policies, legal and regulatory requirements. In addition, ORAC works with the University’s operational units to identify and assess risks and to determine appropriate mitigation strategies. Operational regulatory and policy obligations include: conflicts of interest, copyright/intellectual property, immigration, IT licensing and security, non-profit law, privacy regulations (FERPA/HIPPA), procurement, athletics and security. NYU's financial and research compliance is supervised by the University Controller and the Provost, respectively.

Jane Woodcock is the Director of Operational Risk Analysis and Compliance. She can be reached by email or by calling (212) 998-1437.
