Arthur O. Eve HEOP Eligibility
To be eligible for Arthur O. Eve HEOP at NYU, a first-time college applicant must meet the following requirements
- Apply for admission to a degree program
- Be a New York State resident
- Hold a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), Armed Forces Equivalency Diploma, etc.
- Possess a high school GPA or 3.0 or higher
- Have a combined math & verbal SAT score between 1000 and 1250
- Attend a one-on-one interview
- Meet income eligibility guidelines outlined in the table below

NOTE: These guidelines do not apply if...
- The student's family is the recipient of payments through a New York State County Department, or;
- The student is living with foster parents who do not provide support for college, and no monies are provided by the natural parents, or;
- The student is a ward of the state or county
In which case, the applicant will automatically meet economic eligibility.
Eligibility for Transfer Students
Transfer students previously enrolled in another Arthur O. Eve HEOP program or in an Opportunity Program such as EOP or SEEK are eligible for Arthur O. Eve HEOP at NYU. Those enrolled at institutions that do not have Opportunity Programs should contact our office at 212-998-5697 for more information.
