Arthur O. Eve HEOP Professional Organization (Arthur O. Eve HEOP-PO) Statewide Conference
The 2006 Arthur O. Eve HEOP-PO Statewide Conference was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Buffalo from October 4th to 6th. Dr. Said Sewell, III, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science & Planning, University of West Georgia spoke on "Creating a Brotherhood of Successful Black Male Students." Keynote Speaker, Dr. Calvin Mackie, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tulane University spoke on "Living the Legacy." Sophomore Conference
On October 7th, 2005, the Office of NYU Opportunity Programs partnered with the Hispanic Alliance for Career Advancement (HAVE) to present "Staying the Course," the Sophomore Success Conference on the NYU campus. To help students address the obstacle to academic success known as "Sophomore Slump," workshops and seminars such as "Mastering Human Relations" and "Dream Big" were offered to Arthur O. Eve HEOP and CSTEP sophomores. Students were also invited to networking luncheons to hear presentations about potential employment and internship opportunities.

Freshman Friday Conference
On Friday, July 8th, 2005, The Office of NYU Opportunity Programs invited Arthur O. Eve HEOP and CSTEP freshmen to attend an all day conference. Sessions were geared toward welcoming incoming freshmen to university life and preparing them to launch successful undergraduate studies.
