American Ways: Interacting in the U.S.

You are invited to attend any or all of the American Ways seminar series.

Each seminar is designed to explore some aspect of U.S. culture and its
application to life as an NYU student.

These seminars will provide you with tools to better understand and adapt to the U.S.

The workshops are held at the OISS, start promptly at 11:00 am and end at 12:30 pm on the following Fridays:

September 5 - American Ways of Relating
Learn the "rules" of interacting with U.S. Americans in social settings.

September 12 - American Ways in the Classroom
A discussion of the expectations of U.S. professors and classmates with regard to the academic environment.

September 1 9 - American Ways of Problem Solving
Learn about the ways U.S. Americans prefer to use to resolve or address conflict.

The presentations are made by NYU staff. They are open to new, transfer, and returning students. Advance sign up is requested.

The seminars are co-sponsored by the OISS and the Counseling and Behavioral Health Services (CBH).
