Freaked out - upset, anxious
Gay - homosexual
Gross - something vulgar or crude
Hang out - relax, a regular meeting place for friends
Hangover - the physical aftermath of heavy drinking, such as headache or nausea
High or Stoned - under the influence of marijuana or other drugs
Hip - cool; in fashion
Hold, hold on - wait, often used while on the phone
Hook up - chance sexual encounter; to meet up with friends
Horny * - wanting to have sex
Hot - sexually attractive; stolen merchandise
ID - identification card
Jerk * - a person who is rude or inconsiderate
Joint - marijuana cigarette
Junk food - food of little or no nutritional value
Lighten up - relax, don't be so serious
Mad - very, a lot, to a high degree
Mall - a cluster of stores in one specific area, a shopping center
Mugged- to be robbed on the street; can also say jumped
Phat - great, amazing, incredible
Piss *- urinate
Piss off * - make someone angry
Pot, weed or Mary Jane - marijuana
Psyched - excited about something that is about to happen
Rubber - condom
Screwed - to be wronged; to be placed in an unfortunate and difficult situation
Shady or Sketchy - strange, not entirely safe
Shut up * - a command to be quite or to stop talking
Straight - someone who is ultra conservative; heterosexual
Straight-edge - someone who abstains from alcohol or drug use
Sucks* - used to describe something bad, unfortunate or inadequate
Sweet - good, fun
The Man ( you are the man ) - someone who is really “cool”; used to address someone who has accomplished something great
Vegan - someone who does not consume any products made from animals
Wasted, Smashed, Hammered, or Drunk - intoxicated
What's up? - common greeting, "What's happening?" or "How are things going?"
