Cultural issues

Are you ready for U.S. and New York City culture? Although many international students at NYU have lived and traveled abroad extensively, studying and living in New York City for several months or years requires different skills than visiting as a tourist. You will discover how culture shapes interactions large and small, from how to socialize to how classes are conducted. And in addition to U.S. culture, you'll have the chance to interact with people from all over the world. Over one third of all New Yorkers are foreign born, plus New York University is host to one of the largest foreign student populations in the U.S.

You are sure to find helpful information and resources in this section. Good luck with your U.S. and New York City cultural journey!
