Every spring Government & Community Affairs organizes an advocacy trip consisting of a group of about 25 students, both graduate and undergraduate, who meet with Members of Congress and their staff to discuss the importance of financial aid programs. The Student Aid Alliance is a coalition of organizations representing students, colleges, and universities and others who believe that all qualified students should be able to go to college regardless of their financial resources. Alumni across the nation are a potent voice advocating for student financial aid. Help current NYU students by writing to your representative on student aid.
There are many opportunities to interact with students interning in Washington, D.C. If you work at a think tank, public agency, government office, or other appropriate office and are looking for student interns, please contact our office and we can post your internship requirements. If you are interested in providing housing for a student intern or hosting a lecture or a dinner in D.C., please contact us. We will organize the event and provide the necessary resources.
