Skirball Center Launches New Series of Programs for Children and Families
The Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts has announced a new programming series for the 2008-09 season aimed at children and families. The series, entitled “Big Red Chair,” will feature eight (one a month except for April) fun and affordable multi-arts performances throughout the season for the entire family.
“The Big Red Chair represents a dream of mine since Skirball opened, because my role as a grandparent has created such a strong sense of the importance of the performing arts for children’s development, as well as its powerful force in family growth and sense of community,” said L. Jay Oliva, executive producer of the Skirball Center.
