The Archivists’ Toolkit (AT), an innovative open-source archival data
management system developed through a collaboration among the NYU
Division of Libraries, University of California, San Diego Libraries,
and the Five Colleges, Inc. Libraries, has received the C.F.W. Coker
Award from the Society of American Archivists.

STEINHARDT ANNOUNCES NEW ENDOWED FACULTY CHAIR IN PIANO STUDIES
The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development
recently announced the creation of the Sascha Gorodnitzki Faculty Chair
in Piano Studies. Gorodnitzki (1905-1986) was an internationally
acclaimed concert pianist and one of the most sought-after piano
teachers in the world.

TWO A&P PUBLICATIONS WIN CASE AWARDS
NYU’s Office of Advertising and Publications received two awards from
the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), an
organization that supports education institutions around the world by
“enhancing the effectiveness of alumni relations, communications,
marketing, fund raising, and other advancement professionals who serve
them.”

Two Wagner School RCLA Summer Events Focus on Nonprofit Development
How do investments in talent management and development help nonprofits
achieve their organizational goals? This question was the focus of two
in-depth learning sessions, sponsored by the Edna McConnell Clark
Foundation and hosted by the Wagner Graduate School of Public Service’s
Research Center for Leadership in Action (RCLA) for 15 leading youth
development nonprofits in late July and early August.

University Holds Groundbreaking for New Co-Generation Plant
NYU broke ground in mid August at the site of its new, environmentally
friendly co-generation plant in a ceremony attended by elected
officials, local leaders, and University representatives. The facility
will be located underground on Mercer Street between West 3rd and West
4th Streets.
