City Council Speaker Delivers Keynote at LGBT Welcome

Christine Quinn, the first female, openly gay, and Irish speaker of the New York City Council, greeted new and returning students during a welcome celebration sponsored by NYU’s Office of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Student Services. Over 100 people attended the Sept. 5 event, which also featured a speech by E. Frances White, vice provost for faculty affairs.
