NYU Selects Distinguished Administrators
NYU recently announced the recipients of the 2008-09 Distinguished Administrator Award, which
recognizes outstanding administrative and professional performance that helps the University meet its strategic initiatives and goals.
The recipients were chosen for their demonstration of exceptional service, leadership, communication, and innovation, resulting in a significant impact on NYU. This year’s recipients are:
• Michael Baker (awarded posthumously), formerly executive director for research, planning, and
communication, Silver School of Social Work;
• June Foley, writing program director, Gallatin School of Individualized Study;
• Thomas Grace, director of community standards, compliance, and planning, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs;
• Basil Katradis, manager, voice communications assessment and evaluation, Office of Information
Technology Services, Division of the Provost;
• Eugenia Mejia, director for admissions, College of Dentistry; and
• Derotha “Dory” Smith Wilson, associate director of financial aid, Tisch School of the Arts.
