Silver School of Social Work Receives Caron Foundation Award

The Caron Foundation, a non-profit provider of drug and alcohol addiction treatment, has named the Silver School of Social Work as the recipient of its Educational Excellence Award. The award recognizes the School’s M.S.W. and post-master’s substance abuse programs for excellence in training social workers whose clients are suffering from addiction.
Silver School professor Shulamith Lala Straussner accepted the award on behalf of the school at the Greater New York Community Service Awards breakfast in late May. The Caron Foundation offers comprehensive treatment programs for adolescents, adults, and their families, and treats all types of chemical addictions.
