Gallatin Arts Festival Features ‘New Worlds/New Works’

Seana Sharpe, a junior at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, describes “Skin,” a piece in her series of sculptural installations at this year’s Gallatin Arts Festival, which featured the works of more than 100 up-and-coming artists. This year’s theme was “New Worlds/New Works,” where students created work that over five evenings of live performances, panel discussions, and visual art installations, ignited a dialogue with audiences as they explored new realities and engaged the past with possibilities.
This year’s four-day festival was held in Gallatin’s Jerry H. Labowitz Theatre for the Performing Arts, a 117-seat theatre with adjoining gallery space.
