Composer Leonard Rosenman Honored with Skirball Tribute

In March, the family of the late film composer Leonard Rosenman celebrated the donation of the Leonard Rosenman Collection at the Fales Library and the Steinhardt Film Scoring Program. Rosenman, who died in 2008, was the Academy Award-winning composer of such celebrated scores as East of Eden, Rebel Without A Cause, and Star Trek: The Voyage Home. A tribute to Rosenman at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts featured screenings of films by students in the Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at NYU Tisch, as well as performances by the NYU Symphony Orchestra of original scores by film scoring majors.
