Michael J. Fox Discusses His Role as an ‘Incurable Optimist’
Michael J. Fox (HON ’08) actor, author, and philanthropist, is the nation’s leading spokesman for the fight against Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. Recently, he visited the Tisch School of the Arts for a Q&A with students in connection with his new book Always Looking Up: Observations of an Incurable Optimist (Hyperion, April 2009). The book’s theme will also manifest in a new film, Michael J. Fox: Adventures of an Incurable Optimist, which will air on ABC May 7 at 10 p.m.
