Four Professors Receive NYU’s 2009 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Faculty Award


      Four professors were recently chosen to receive the NYU Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Faculty Award, sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Development and the Office of the Assistant Vice President of Student Diversity. Its purpose is to recognize faculty members who exemplify the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr. through their positive impact within the classroom and the greater NYU community. The award includes $2,500 in research funds.
      The 2009 Martin Luther King, Jr. Faculty Award recipients are, from left: Ella Turenne, Gallatin School of Individualized Study; Christina Marin, Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development; Ward Regan, Liberal Studies Programs, Faculty of Arts and Science; and Chelli Devadutt (accepting on behalf of her late husband, Walter Stafford, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service).
