Skirball Center Presents New York Premiere of ‘Aurélia’s Oratorio’

NYU’s Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts will present the New York premiere of Aurélia’s Oratorio, an international hit starring Aurélia Thiérrée in a display of acrobatics, dance, puppetry, and dazzling stage invention directed and designed by her mother, Victoria Thiérrée Chaplin. Inspired by medieval drawings, the magic of music hall, variety show, and circus, Aurélia’s Oratorio will play for three performances only, Nov. 20 and 21 at 8:00 p.m., and Nov. 22 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $40.

Aurélia Thierrée has been performing since childhood, initially with her parents Jean Baptiste Thierrée and Victoria Thierrée Chaplin, the pioneers of the new circus with their legendary Cirque Invisible and Cirque Imaginaire. The New York premiere follows on the heels of sold-out performances everywhere from London’s West End to the Spoleto Festival and Hong Kong.
