Celebrating 50 Years of NYU in Madrid

NYU celebrated the 50th anniversary of its study abroad site in Madrid with October events in the Spanish capital. Madrid was NYU’s first study abroad site. Pictured at right is Jesús Sainz, vice president of the King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center at New York University Foundation. Other attendees at celebratory events included Madrid’s former Minister of Justice Juan Fernándo López Aguilar, Spanish Judge Baltasar Garzón, author Antonio Muñoz Molina, and Lucía Figar, chief of staff for education for the Madrid Regional Government. The event was attended by President John Sexton and President Emeritus John Brademas.
