Second Avenue Dance Company Presents Fall Concert

The Second Avenue Dance Company will present its fall concert series featuring previews of one work each by guest choreographers Susan Marshall and Department of Dance alumna Brook Notary, in three performances from Oct. 16-18. The concert series will also include work by eight student choreographers, and features student designs in lighting and costuming.
    
The concert will feature: Name by Name, Marshall’s work for 18 women to an original score by composer David Lang.Tisch Department of Dance alumna Notary will preview her new physically daring dance (untitled) for a male/female cast of 13. The student choreographers presenting work are: Christina Connerton, Catherine De Angelis, Tzu-Ying Lee, Danielle Schulz, Kristin Smith, Regina Sobel, Jaclyn K. Walsh, and Hee Ra Yoo.
    
The three performance concert series opens Oct. 16 and runs through Oct. 18. Curtain is 8 p.m. and admission is free. Performances will take place in the Fifth Floor Theater, 111 Second Avenue. For more information, call 212-998-1982.
