TSOA’s Deborah Willis to Edit Photo Book on Obama Campaign

Deborah Willis, University Professor and chair of the Department of Photography and Imagining in the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at the Tisch School of the Arts, has been chosen to select and edit the photos for the book Obama: The Historic Campaign in Photos. The publisher is Harper Collins’s Amistad imprint, and the first copy printing will be 250,000.
       Due out Oct. 28, the book will cover Barack Obama’s campaign from its beginning through June, and will include more than 150 photos plus an introductory essay by Kevin Merida, author of Supreme Discomfort: The Divided Soul of Clarence Thomas and a writer for the Washington Post.
