NYU REACHES ‘FINAL FOUR’ OF COLLEGE CHESS

Last spring, NYU competed in the 2008 President’s Cup, also known as the “Final Four of College Chess,” on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). For the second consecutive year, the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) took the top prize, defeating UMBC in the finals. UTD won every major college chess title in the 2007-08 academic year.
    NYU, making its first President’s Cup appearance in many years, was led by Mackenzie Molner.
