N’Harmonics Singers Compete in International A Cappella Championship
The N’Harmonics, a group of NYU singers who perform a cappella and are sponsored by the Tisch School of the Arts (TSOA), was one of seven collegiate a cappella groups to compete in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) International Finals event on April 19 at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall. Singers competed for cash prizes and the coveted title of Grand Champion.
The other six groups were from Oxford University, Florida State University, University of Southern California, Ithaca College, and Northwestern University.
Formed in 1998, N’Harmonics comprises 19 NYU undergraduates. Shane Orser, a junior in Tisch’s drama department, is the group’s president. Other singers are: Phil Anton, Alex Brightman, Matt Carr, Sarah Dennis-Brown, Juan Torres Falcon, Roe Hartrampf, F. Michael Haynie, Jenni Lawton, Alice Lee, Ignacio Meneses, Sean Murray, Thomas Sabin, Josh Segarra, Ali Stroker, Shaina Taub, Annie Tippe, Nicole Weiss, and Alyse Wojciechowski.
