Trustee Hemmerdinger Becomes Chair of MTA

The New York Senate recently confirmed H. Dale Hemmerdinger, WSC’67, to serve as the new chairman of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), with a term expiring in 2012.

Hemmerdinger has had a long and distinguished career as a leader in New York City real estate development and has enthusiastically supported scholarships, as well as various schools and initiatives, at NYU. Among his many other activities on behalf of NYU, he chairs the Trustee Committee on Alumni Affairs and University Life.
