NYU Tops List of Adoption-Friendly Education Institutions
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption recently announced the best adoption-friendly workplaces in the education industry and NYU topped the list for the second year in a row. The University also ranked 44th overall among the top 100 organizations in the country.
NYU provides employees with up to $6,000 and six weeks of paid leave per adoption, as well as seminars for individuals who are considering adoption. Education institutions following NYU were Cornell University, Concord Academy, The Ohio State University, and IS Kids Inc. of Georgia. The top organization was Wendy’s International, Inc., headquartered in Dublin, Ohio.
Rankings are based on the amount of financial assistance and paid leave provided. The foundation compiled the results from survey data collected from 919 U.S. employers.
