Rona Jaffe Foundation Establishes Graduate Fellowship in Creative Writing
The Rona Jaffe Foundation has donated $125,000 to establish and support the Rona Jaffe Foundation Graduate Fellowship for Creative Writing in the Creative Writing Program at the Graduate School of Arts and Science. The fellowship will provide a $25,000 stipend per academic year for one incoming first-year female creative writing graduate student, in either fiction or poetry.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have this wonderful new source of support for our students thanks to this generous gift from the Rona Jaffe Foundation,” says Deborah Landau, director of the Creative Writing Program. “Many of our talented and dedicated graduate student writers are struggling to make ends meet. We’re working to increase fellowship support for all of our students, so that they will be able to focus on their writing while they’re here.”
