Students Lobby Albany Policymakers For Essential Funding

More than 50 NYU students, administrators, and faculty traveled up the Hudson to the state capital on March 4 to lobby—by way of personal stories and cold hard facts—with legislators in Albany to continue making student financial aid programs a priority. The focus of the delegation was on the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), which are essential to many on campus. Over 4,000 NYU students receive TAP grants and over
600 are in the HEOP program.
