The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer’s Ray Suarez Moderates Dialogue on ‘Israel at 60’

    Ray Suarez, WSUC ’85, pictured at left, a senior correspondent at The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, recently moderated a dialogue on “Israel at 60,” which considered the nation’s past, present, and future in advance of the its six-decade anniversary. The event’s participants were professor Ronald Zweig, center, director of NYU’s Taub Center for Israel Studies, and Jeffrey Goldberg, national correspondent for The Atlantic.

      Zweig is the author of several works, including Britain and Palestine During the Second World War. Goldberg, author of Prisoners: A Muslim and a Jew Across the Middle East Divide, has also been a reporter at the New Yorker, the New York Times Magazine, the Washington Post, and other publications. He won the 2003 National Magazine Award for Reporting for his coverage of Islamic terrorism.
