Tests and Quizzes

In Blackboard

Dr. Tester posted a test link inside a weekly folder along with other teaching materials. She graded and viewed the test in the Grade Center.

In NYU Classes

The instructor’s tests were moved into NYU Classes’ Tests and Quizzes > Pending Assessments section. This section is not released to students. Before she makes the tests available to students, Dr. Tester will need to publish and link to the Gradebook. Published tests appear in the Published Assignments area. Students will not be able to access an assessment until it is published. An assessment will appear in the Gradebook only if the instructor selects Grades sent to Gradebook. (Path: Assignments>Settings>Gradebook>Gradebook Options)

Tip: Consider linking a test or survey to an event on the Schedule item in order to provide an extra reminder to students.

  • Blackboard quizzes and tests will move into NYU Classes but need to be checked and modified (new dates, availability settings, etc.)
