Assignments
In Blackboard
Dr. Tester used the Assignments tool to place an assignment submission link (along with instructions) in one of her weekly folders. Once students submitted their assignments online, she collected and graded them, then provided feedback in the Grade Center.
In NYU Classes
Dr. Tester can now create, distribute, collect, and grade assignments from the same place — Assignments. She has noticed that NYU Classes offers more options than Blackboard. This includes controlling students’ submissions, giving assignments to selected groups, adding due dates to the Schedule, and sending notifications to students confirming their submission success.

What you Need to Know
- Assignment items created using the Blackboard Assignment tool will move into NYU Classes as text files in the Resources folder, and need to be recreated as new Assignments.
