In Blackboard

Dr. Tester used Announcements to alert her students about new postings of materials, changes to the class schedule, and the availability or due dates of assignments, tests and surveys.

In NYU Classes

Dr. Tester uses NYU Classes Announcements to serve the same purposes as in Blackboard. However, NYU Classes’ Announcements also offers something new. Within an announcement, Dr. Tester can now add multiple attachments, and even choose to make an announcement only available to relevant groups of students.

Tip: Announcements can be visible to only members of the site or only to selected groups or sections. Users can view all announcements that are available to them from My Workspace.
