An NYU Community Initiative
Faculty Oversight
The project is sponsored by the Learning Management Systems and Instructional Content Management Systems (LMS/iCMS) subcommittee reporting to the Teaching Technology Committee chaired by Matthew Santirocco, Senior Vice Provost for Undergraduate Academic Affairs. The LMS/iCMS works in consultation with the relevant individuals and groups (e.g., service delivery units and project teams), reviews the project's progress and makes recommendations about its future direction and investment levels to the full Teaching Technology Committee.
User Advisory Group
The User Advisory Group (UAG) reports to the LMS/iCMS subcommittee and helps gather the NYU Community's needs and set priorities for NYU Classes. Members of the UAG represent NYU sites, schools and departments and provide input to help make informed decisions about the service. Members are asked to collect information from their site, school or department, and may occasionally be asked to review and research functionality. The UAG is currently recruiting new members for Fall 2012. If you would like to find out about joining the group, please contact the NYU Classes UAG Admin Group.
Improving Usability
The NYU Classes Usability Team draws upon a user-centered design approach where they research how faculty members use NYU Classes to achieve specific teaching and learning objectives. Throughout the course of the transition, slight updates will be made to the interface based the information collected.
